“After attending the first workshop, I realized it was a real eye-opener for me. I’m fresh out of high school and currently in college, and the workshop gave me a chance to start thinking more seriously about life beyond school. The main focus was about finding your true purpose and honestly, it made me realize just how much of a struggle that can be.

One of the biggest things we talked about was building a strong foundation for your life. We learned that if you really want to be on the right path and build something meaningful, you need to put God at the center of that foundation. Ever since hearing that, I’ve been making it a priority to put God first in everything I do. It’s definitely a slow journey, but little by little, it’s helping me grow mentally and physically.

We also spent time talking about developing our gifts and talents. For me, that’s designing logos and manufacturing clothes for local businesses. I’m using those skills not just to help others, but also to start my own clothing line and manufacturing company.

“I attended the Purposeful Workshop on December 21st. During this workshop, we discussed many topics related to our future, including how credit works once you start building it. This workshop allowed me to expand my knowledge not only financially, but also mentally.

As a young person, it’s important to find words of encouragement or connect with someone who has resources to help guide you regarding your future — and this workshop did exactly that.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a pediatrician. However, during the workshop, we covered an area that made me realize I hadn’t truly explored my career path, the different types of pediatricians, or whether it was something I genuinely enjoyed. After the workshop, I decided to sign up for a medical internship, which I will be completing next summer. I feel that without the workshop, I wouldn’t have thought that deeply about my future.
